Thank you so much, Jo - the reason I'm trying to be organized is because I'm so sick and tired of forever trying to find things....... it took up so much of my time and totally dained me!

I'm not in Studios (yet, thanks for the compliment), but last time around I was 'sort of invited' by someone in the know - but because I was so unorganised, I just couldn't see myself getting there..... Now there's a tale of how to miss your chance.

So in future I'll try to be more organized.

Thanks! What can I say - sew silk with care if you do traditional piecing. If you are a fan of foundation piecing, then I recommend 'magic paper' that is so thin that it can be left in (sold by Olga Prince - google it) - Just go for it!

I mostly just fuse it with raw edges (see the making of my Thin Blue Line quilt - see June 2008)

PLEASE tell me how you sew with silk!!!

I have a fabulous stash of hand-dyed silk and don't have the nerve to work with it yet. It just doesn't behave like cotton!! Grrrr!

Also, can I post pictures of your set-up on my blog? I think what you have here is spectacular and I'd like to inspire others by showing it off!!! Of course I'd like to feature a picture of your work... okay?
